This is the large tree on the junior field next to the school entrance on Bedmond Road. Many people think that it is the tree on the school jumper but it isn't. That fell down years ago. The old Abbots Langley School, 1976 Early school group in the 1890's The international historical significance of Abbots Langley is as the birthplace of the only Englishman ever to become Pope.  Nicholas Breakspear was born at Breakspear Farm, near Bedmond.
The Church of St Lawrence the Martyr, Abbots Langley was dedicated to Saint Lawrence in 1154.

The Lych Gate which was built in 1902, as a memorial to Queen Victoria by local craftsman Mr Edwin Glenister.
This is the war memorial of Abbots Langley. It is there to remember all the people who died in World War 1. It is in the churchyard of St. Lawrence's church next to the library. This is the sign on Abbots Langley High street. St Lawrence's Church Cottages situated opposite the school.
